About the studio!
Once you come into the studio, I’ll greet you and we’ll chat about what you hope to get out of the session. We’ll also go over the clothing items you brought or are wearing – ideally for business headshots we just need shirts and blouses, unless you also want to do some portraits.
For tops, stick to solid colors, they work best, and stick to colors you know work well with your complexion. Some colors and accessories convey different messages, blazers, jackets, ties, & jewelry, can all be a part of the headshot, or not. It’s up to you and your style.
Once we go over your wardrobe and what looks we will be creating, we’ll take some quick test shots to make sure everything from the lighting, backgrounds to any makeup you are wearing or changed, looks good, and everything looks the way you want it to look. I will coach you through the session, from expressions, looking and feeling natural, to posing. I got you covered. No two people are the same, everyone is unique, and each session is bespoke and tailored to you!
Once the session is over, I will email you a proof gallery, typically the same day, where you can make your picks for the finalizing of the images you want to keep. It’s an easy, fast, and convenient way of making sure you select the best headshots, and it gives you a chance to select more images on a later date should you need additional images. Once you have the images selected, I will touchup the images as needed.
