Welcome!
I’m Daniel Turbert,
a Professional Photographer
Based in Durham, North Carolina
Thanks for stopping by! I’m Daniel, a passionate and experienced photographer based in the heart of downtown Durham, North Carolina. With years of experience behind the lens, I specialize in headshots, fashion photography, commercial branding, modeling portfolios, and creative portraiture. Whether I’m working in my studio in the 5-Points district or on location across the Triangle—including Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and beyond—I bring a friendly, professional approach to every session.
Photography, for me, is more than just creating beautiful images—it's about telling stories, capturing authentic personality, and helping clients feel confident and seen. I work closely with individuals, brands, agencies, and professionals to produce powerful visuals that stand out in today's image-driven world.
If you're looking for a top-rated Durham photographer for professional headshots, modeling digitals, or portfolio-building sessions, you're in the right place. Let’s create something amazing together!
After working in the corporate world for 15 years, I decided to pursue my passions and return to photography. Its been my passion since I was a kid and I consider myself very lucky to do this for a living. I am grateful to all my clients and its my mission to produce photography that exceeds expectations. I shoot a variety of formats, from fashion, to headshots and portraits, weddings, commercial, and editorials.
In addition to my studio and wedding photography, I also run a non-profit, teaching photography to a very special group of children in Uganda, and I hope to expand the project to other communities soon.
I love wildlife and animal photography, and I’ve been lucky to travel, photographing animals for campaigns and fundraising.
I’ve also had the pleasure of working on numerous campaigns and projects, and having work featured in New York’s Times Square, published in Forbes, People Magazine, Wine Spectator, The Washington Post, and many others.
If you have a project you’d like to discuss with me, I’d love to hear about it.
